Just returned from SPOCS gathering! How i missed the team, and it's been nearly 2.5 yrs since we actually last meet up! =/ we headed down to Sakura International Buffet at Dhoby Ghaut for dinner and arcade and some coffee at cafe cartel... great catching up and hearing the usual nicknames.. Hahaha though really miss those times in Philippines, but still thank God for the wonderful memories! and and and, it was really hilarious when Chee Hoe actually mentioned that Ken was his foster brother! we were all shocked, like since when sia, so gum.. den we recalled the foster family incidents LOL! jessica and karen are actually my foster sisters! hahaha so funny and cute! this philippines trip bonded us like a big family! :)

Shall update on Aussie trip soon, though nothing much happened! :p

due to the recent shares of this youtube post about 'facts about women' from a Hindi movie - Pyaar Ka Punchnama, i've decided to watch it!!!

Plot (from wiki!)
Rajat (Kartik Tiwari), Nishant alias Liquid (Divyendu Sharma) and Vikrant Chaudhary (Rayo Bakhirta) are bachelors who live together in a flat in Delhi. Rajat falls in love with Neha (Nushrat Bharucha). Nishant falls for Charu (Ishita Sharma) who is his colleague. She makes him do a good part of her own work in office and also makes him foot her beauty parlour bills but he is dumb not to understand that she is only using him but doesn’t love him. Charu has a boyfriend, Abhi, but they aren’t on the best of terms. The third guy, Vikrant, loves Riya (Sonali Sehgal) who also can’t get over her boyfriend of many years, Varun.

Rajat leaves the bachelor pad and starts living in with Neha who, as days pass by, becomes more and more demanding and refuses to give him space. He is frustrated but he is so madly in love with her that he tolerates all her tantrums. Nishant is also so blinded by his love for Charu that he can’t see the obvious – she is a user. Vikrant is aware of Riya’s ex-boyfriend, Varun, and also knows that Riya has not yet called off that relationship but he doesn’t mind waiting because he is besotted by Riya. On her part, Riya keeps assuring him that she will end the relationship but actually ends up sleeping with her ex even while she is dating Vikrant.

Missing their meetings and bar-hopping, the trio decide to take a time-out by themselves. All three women, however, find out and decide to accompany them to the beach where they eventually mingle. Charu here kisses Nishant, while Rajat has a fight with Neha back at home. Charu starts to ignore Nishant and ends up eventually insulting him openly at work. Rajat and Neha makeup but soon after due to somefutrther more problems that arise between them, Rajat realizes that his relationship with Neha has to come to an end, resulting in him breaking up with Neha. Nishant goes into deep depression but is brought back to reality by his two friends Vikrant and Rajat. Vikrant finds out that Riya slept with her ex and leaves her.

At the end the trio are seen sitting together, laughing and feeling happy with the moment they have with each other.

yeah, the plot basically sums up.. well, at least the songs was well written and well sang! and overall is still really really good! i mean, most hindi movies are good liao.. but this storyline and plot and cast is just so good! It really depicts real life girlfriends.. At some scenes, i really feel sad for the guys cos being played out by the ladies. But anyway, the scriptwriter may just be a biased source lah..

No matter what, it's still an awesome movie!! really hard truths la.. if i follow hindi movies as religiously as hk dramas, confirm can find more.. next up to watch after next week... 3 idiots!! (slow..... pun intended..)

zzzz had this feeling last week, about school again.. it feels exactly the same as 2 years back in Poly... yeah, results haven't been that ideal.. i tot it was good enough, until i saw the criteria on RMIT website.. felt like a total loser..

this was what i tabulated that morning:

4-14 Windows Global Summit III /MacBook Pro Rants

it had been a long week! 4/14 was held at Sembawang VFC building from 6-9 Sept. it's one of the biggest event which i've helped so far, this year.. Go4th for held at Expo in May, but we had contractors and workers to do video/sound and setting up of workshops. Unless Conference in late June was held in VFC Tamp and it was pretty ok bcos there wasn't many workshops/seminars available :X but this 4/14 was the ultimate. there's 12 tracks, 10 workshops and 13 regional consultations. wahh, i would totally enjoy them if i was a delegate :P haha.. working behind stage isn't exactly good, cos it's so tiring sometimes.. ev'one has expectations and sometimes you won't get appreciated (not saying during this conference arhhhh) all i can say is, really need to draw strength from the Lord. Since I've alr taken this step to serve in this ministry, i should serve with a willing and cheerful heart! it's tiring, really tiring sometimes, and discouragement just sets in. :( #IMHoldingOnToYou

oh, i'd gotten myself a MacBook Pro last friday at the Comex fair! and i was so lucky to have gotten the MBP that has a distorted display! #win on the first day alr encountered, but i ignored cos i tot is just coincidental and the sudden sound scared me, thus did a forced shut down. 2nd day also kena! "wah, really or not sia. got so lucky meh!" and then the following few days, i only used sparingly - like 1/2 hr - 1hr max. and then on wed night, after 4/14, i used it and it showed the distorted display again!

>>LONG DRAGGY STORY AHEAD>> so i brought it down to Sapura at Funan IT Mall on thurs to enquire my mac's prob, and they told me to go to the EPICENTRE outlet (which i gotten my laptop from) to check if it's the free 8gb ram that was causing the problem. so i went down to Wheelock Place EpiCentre and queued up for the no. The lady told me that i qualified for a 1-for-1 exchange since it was still within the 14 days. so i asked her how about my screen protector (that i bought during the fair), my 8gb ram and my AppleCare Protection Plan. and all she did was to tell me these... "you can inform the ppl there (pointing over to the sales side) and they will do for you"

So.. i brought my box and evthing down to EpiCentre Wheelock Place on Friday 11am sharp. and the sales person (with a lil short tongue) told me that there isn't any stocks available at their outlet! WTH?! how can no stock one? is like opening a chicken rice stall and tell the customer that your chicken is out of stock, when it is still opening hours lor! so he told me that the only outlet that has the stock is at Marina! arghhhhh. so i said that i will go down to collect thinking it was Marina Square. So i took the train down to City Hall when i had this feeling to google the place, and to my horror! i found out that EpiCentre is at Marina Bay Sands not Marina Square! big difference leh! HELLO, who the hell will wanna go all the way down there to collect when it is YOUR responsibility to do it after all right?! i went back to Wheelock Place AGAIN with a BLACK face. i told him to get it for me to collect on Saturday, and i dun wanna collect it from Marina on my own! n den i asked him about the AppleCare again, and he said that i needed to contact them my own to change the hardware no (since i'm doing a 1-for-1 exchange). den i asked, what is their no?! and he said that i should check it online on my own! LIKE WTH! SERIOUSLY! so i flared up and nearly shouted, "can't you just check for me?!" and he returned with a number : 1800-MYAPPLE. den i left my macbook over there cos i was so angry to bring it along to the 4/14!

Saturday... collected the new macbook pro. had this feeling that it wasn't new cos there was tear and scotch tape on the box, a slight scratch on the mac, the seal sticker looked different! and i was forced to say BYE to my screen protector! felt like giving them shit for 3 meals for the next 3 years sia! when i went down to my grandma house and attempted calling the hotline, it turned out that the STUPID sales man gave me the wrong number! he gave me the US hotline and not the Singapore number itself! like THANKS FOR NOTHING! and so had to google it and found out that the hotline closes at 3pm, when it was alr 320pm! #unlucky i dunno what to say, but just typing these out makes my blood boil lah.. in the end, jie called the singapore hotline and it diverted to US no and they showed a little attitude. n now need to call the Singapore Hotline when they start working on MONDAY! you guys better not give me stupid Monday Blues Crap! i had the worst weekend in my life hor! WTH, i am just freaking suay! like suay things comes together!

dunno whether to be happy that i bought a Mac or not. like, i really dunno whether should i be happy or remember this stupid incident. it reminds me of my awful service at STARHUB in march! #SUAYTTM

I’m writing this mail to help save my brother against life-threatening leukemia, the disease has reached a time critical stage where his doctors need to perform a bone marrow transplant as quickly as possible in order to save his life, I have been tested and sadly my HLA typing is not a match to my brother’s bone marrow. My brother (a young man) and many patients (children and adults) in the world are looking to you today to potentially help save their lives.

Bone Marrow Transplant is unlike what the name sounds, it is not a solid organ transplant like the heart, liver kidney, cornea and so forth, it does not require any form of surgery, many people may associate the life saving procedure, with taking a certain part of a bone from a person and giving it to the patient in need, probably because of the term “Bone Marrow Transplant”, however the actual process is more like a matched donor donating a small packet of his/her stem cells (blood) to save a patient’s life.

And Bone marrow donation will ONLY happen, when there is a perfect match (1 over 20,000 to 100,000 of a chance) between a potential donor’s HLA typing to another patient’s HLA typing, and the collection process is very similar to a small packet of blood donation (less than 5% of a person’s stem cells). There are no side effects to bone marrow donations as marrow or stem cells are able to replenish itself just like blood. It is safe, simple, does not bring any harm to your body, it’s relatively painless, and the full cost will be borne by the receiving patient. And many matched donors, both young and old have expressed that it was a positive experience and will gladly do so again, when they learned that their donated marrow has managed to save someone’s life that otherwise have no hope of survival.

1) If you are aged 17 to 49, healthy, regardless of gender and blood type, hesitate no more, step into (BMDP) and register yourself as a potential bone marrow donor. Yes!! finally went down to USS to play!~

weekday's tickets cost $66, and express ticket cost ~$33 or smth?
i still think that taking the express ticket is actually more worth it, cos you wont be really playing rides again cos ppl tend to try once and go and try others.. and the waiting time also need to be counted, got queue up to 90 min! wahh super long and the weather was so scotching hot that we nearly melted!
the rides was very fun! really, the battlestar, shrek 4D, revenge of the mummy~ roller coasters are fun! other exciting rides are like the canopy flyer, carousel, waterboat's. lol..
well if i were to go again, i'll just get the express tickets on a wed~! :P

Youth Camp 2011 Unshakable

Unshakable!!!! 1 of the most awesome Youth Camp I ever went.. God's presence was so strong, the anointing of God was refreshing and every single session just spoke to me. Never felt God so real before and I really am thankful for being a child of God..

Nevertheless, my games group Nexus was equally great and fun! I mean, not to compare or anything.. This group is so awesome! Nic Sow and Ezabella was our GL and AGL but there is so much that I learnt from them. Fear of the Lord, humility, trusting in the Lord. Some may think that games group is just a group where we gather to play Youth Camp games but this group not only do that.
I learnt how to be a good sportsman - encourage the losing groups, congratulate the winning groups, be thankful for what we have even though didn't win, going all out to do our best and have fun! I mean these may seems like very normal and etc but seriously, is anyone willing to do these? A typical Singaporean will go "why are we waiting x2457744678", "we will win the war x45633678877", etc..
Even though our group won quite a number of games by God's grace, we still didn't made it to Top 5.. In fact, 6th position lol! But it's ok cos we'd done our best n enjoyed the process n the bonding sessions. Games, meals, devotions, group cheers, camou, etc..

SHDS ex-colleagues farewell gathering

Just met up with SHDS clique on saturday, after 3 months!! it was mainly to give Priya a farewell cos she's leaving for India on May 12 at 815pm.. (i'm super super sad that i cant send her off cos of my examination at 645pm the same day!) so Jennifer and myself went down to Nazreen's house to do a compilation of Priya's farewell gift! well i didnt take any photos of the present but thankfully she likes it! and den we head down to Jurong Point's KFC for late lunch.. hahahhaha, cos she still not used to Spore food, so she only eat KFC, McD and Pizza Hut, LOL! so the 6 of us met up (Priya and her husband, Serene, Naz, Jennifer and me) and had a great gathering of reminising or old days / current (for Naz!!) and school.. hahhaha.. i'll prolly add some photos (after i scan/receive via email)~ :)

Dreams while sleeping

- I dreamt that I was one of a dozen (literally 12) who was chosen to go to..... the MOON! So cool n exciting can. It was a one in a lifetime dream/experience cos I can never afford! Haha.. The gross part of my dream was that due to a lower gravity in space as compared to earth, I think 90% difference right? If u weigh 60 kg on earth, on the moon will be 6 kg?? I could not control the amount of saliva that's in my mouth as the body is in a different environment! Hahaha, so I happened to jump when I stayed thr for ard 5 sec, den I kept puking them out cos mouth couldn't control. I saw others just swallowing but I found it gross lor! Ironic.. So in actual life, I was really na-nuaing! Lol.. Ewwwwww.. So due to this, I was called back to earth cos I failed in my mission.. What the heck.. Lol! Den otw back, I tried to swallow my saliva and surprisingly it wasn't as gross as I tot! But too late, forced to go back to earth.. I rmb eating Kfc in my dream after that. Hahahahaha! These must be due to the Guinness and Kfc adverts!

"I believe skills 10% camera 40% lens 50%" - I seriously can't stop laughing at the person who thought of this! Definitely not me, I'm not dumb to say such things, oops!

Haha, ok.. To clarify the above statement a little, the scenario is like this. Someone brings along his D90 (yes, that DSLR) to a wedding and someone else decided to play and take photos, like a helpful person (it is not me arh..) and so after the actual person who owns the camera (note: I didn't mention any photographer word) uploaded the photos to Facebook, ppl commended like 5 out of 50 over pictures.

And den the helpful person commented smth like some photos she took wasn't bad!

Which was true judging on:
1) the person who owns the camera : his past albums b4 wedding, n even 1 year after the wedding, the photos he taken was really amateur (plus he took up courses b4 leh) n so I believed that he couldn't have taken photos of the better wedding photos..
2) the photos were nicely taken (kinda) was the beginning of the album, whereas the middle to ending sucks to the core :(
3) his understanding of camera is like slightly below average.. (sensitive to use 'low', later sekali like Tin PL's edu n healthcare) is obvious lah. When ppl tell u that u have no story behind ur photos, or share some tips on how to use ur camera, or teaches u some basic concept like background, focus, etc, he either never take heed or tried but failed.

Haha this looks more like I'm criticizing him den gg to the main point.. That helpful person (girl) got ironically shot back! Lol. Cos this person (guy) told her indirectly that it's not because she can take good photos, but it's the camera which does most work! By telling her that 10% skill 40% camera 50% lens means what sia! If the outcome of the photo is based 90% on e combination of camera and lens w 10% skills, I think I will wanna go manufacture camera bodies and lenses since photographers will cfm plus chop buy to be the best photographer lah! No logic right, that theory!

I dun play or own any DSLRs, but only those instant and films cameras. I still suck at Diana mini camera, but at least I still try! Film camera is different from DSLR, I still need to develop them n probably forget my mistakes after the photos are ready. whereas the latter is digital n you can spot ur mistakes like almost instantly! (better than a Polaroid lo!) at least I know what's basic framing, headroom, iris, gain, iso, white balacing, mf af of a camera! So I also know what is required when u take a photo.
Another thing I hear from ppl who takes photographs is that a software to edit photos is very important! If photo-taking skills sucks, improve on Photoshop skills!

I've learnt from these that
1) camera or lens aren't as important yet if u are still an entry level photo-taking lover. Can buy a basic first den slowly invest in the extra stuffs lah..
2) why buy a DSLR? Show off, take scenary shots, ppl close up shots, typical ppl group shots?! Get it clear first before buying it! I see ppl holding DSLR and den taking those photos which a DSLR is too good for, get it?
3) go for photo taking courses if u think ur photo sucks! No money or time? Den go library and borrow photography books and magazines! Like pls do, there are countless no of photography books you can find in bookshops too! Invest in these lah.
4) learn some photo editing skills! At least this could help to either cover up some flaws, add beauty to the photo or at least look more presentable ..
5) I watched a couple of YouTube video about 'Professional using Cheap cameras" and "noobs using professional cameras"
Basically an average woman played ard with d3s and her shots started improving cos she uds e concept and what to look out for. Yes, a better camera is just a bonus plus points.
Professional photographers using IPhone 3, minolta cameras! But their photos came out so chio lah! So this lies down to.... SKILL! 10% skills? I think 110% skills lor!

3) oohh, which way you wanna go? Eh, TPE?

Zzzz like I know my roads well lidat... Den i will stop opp my sch and take overhead bridge. Anyway, this morning I decided to tell the driver to go by TPE, exit at Buangkok Dr and den turn to Upper Serangoon. More details for once! Haha.. But this taxi driver helped me to "analyze" a new way!
Note to self for future uses.. Go by old Tamp road, den go towards Hougang ave 7! Sad thing is fare still e same cos distance is almost e same..

Workshop was powerpacked! Past 2 days was intense, he did 1 hour more in total ! But thankful for this ws cos I never understood Mechanical Design!

Solid Mechanics ws for 2 days was more of understanding than calculating! Which is good and...dry Zzzz haha... Damn scared for exam cos it seemed so difficult..

it's the month of april alr! 1/4 of the year has gone by and it's another 9 months b4 the end of 2011 and then comes year 2012 and then comes my graduation in 2013! HAHAHAH! i'm thinking too far lah, it's only my 2nd term and my exams are in exactly 4 weeks time! 9 and 12 May 2011! =/

well, something good to look forward before my exams is that Cleone is coming back to Singapore!!! :D yay! after 9 months away from home! aiyo, i really can't imagine leaving home, family and friends for a period of time. what more, to study overseas for 3 years plus! =/ haiz...

but on that same week when Cleone returns, one of my ex colleague will be flying back to India for good! :( sad... but it's also good for her cos she's needed to take care of her son.. haiz.. ok, i know what to get for her farewell gift alr.. - Bakkwa!! HAHHAHAHA those kinda mini vacuum packed - chicken and pork with or without chilli and cheese.. just thinking of these, i also feel shiok for her... hhahahaha..

okay, now i should feel stress for my project.. :( i only finished my Solid Mechanics 3 assignments.. i'm not done with Mechanical Design ASS-ignments YET! ): kthxbye! MSoffice finally working properly, i dunno why either.

Absolute Boyfriend drama!

Sad! It's been nearly 2 years since channel U last broadcast the drama 'absolute boyfriend'.. But the ending never changed mah.. Still a touching and teary ending :( wanted to repeat the same stuffs as what I blogged 2 years back.. Thankfully I read that post first, haha! The soundtrack is really good! #doyouknow that the author asked a singer to compose a song just for this drama! The singer and music producer are genius sia! So meaningful and really related to the whole manga! (wiki said so! She read the whole manga b4 composing~) Wah, or else how we can alw cry when each episode ends!! #doyouknow fact2 the singer and the main actor (NOT the robot! The human- soushi) actually married each other after pa tou-ing for less than a year! #doyouknow fact3 the robotic actor is a mixed blood! Jap and Filipino! Omt! No wonder he so dark skinned! I was thinking the other day that if I were to watch this drama again 5-10 years later, would I still cry despite alr knowing the ending!!! Confirm plus chop lor!
#doyouknow fact4 there's gonna be a TAIWAN version of Absolute Boyfriend! Wu Chun is gonna be the robot and the same Korean actress who acted in Boys Over Flowers is gonna be Rikko! What?!???!?? I thought it's a Taiwan drama?!?!? Y Korean became main actress? Haha! Sorry, super ji dong! Lol! Funny thing's that all the ladies wanna find this kind of perfect bf.. Awesome, I managed to finish residential proj reports ytd and handed up! YAY! Stayed over last night at the airport to do Solids Mechanics with e intention of finishing at least 5 assignments . In the end only managed to finish 1 assignment which was 11 pages long! Wah nearly died doing them. Thinking if I shld continue doing my assignments now and finish at least 1 or 2 more ^^ haha!

Saw Tweets like "hearing Gopal say you are going to fail with your standard for O level arts. #shssfacts" Wahh! He told nearly half of my class the same thing! And even told me to drop Art n Design in Sec 3 meet the parents session!

Zzzz I feel darn cui lor. The reason why I didn't wanna accept NTU part time degree was cos I couldn't let go of the net. Not enough leaders to take over them. Yet the reason of studying at SIC's RMIT was also cos of the net. I didn't wanna serve with a very weary and tired heart. I could escape from youth ministry. I am tired, very tired of giving :( I thought I could successfully escape since I have 3 classes a week, but that's only for 1 term ! Next 4 terms (till next April) classes are on Tues and Thurs nia. Church & Youth Camps!

Ahhhhhh... I wanna go for Church camp and Youth Camp this year!!! Thank God it's available on 2 different weeks so I can go for the Adults' at Penang first followed by Youths' at Rompin! Haiz, imagine Uncle Melvin's hard work (if he's gg for camps!) for setting up the major equipments at Penang & Malacca for 2 consecutive weeks! Stress! Lucky I'm not working so I dun have to bother taking leaves!! :p BUT a new school term might start on 6/Jun :( crap lah! Want to skip class also dangerous. I hope it won't clash! :/

Had nursery duty on Sunday morning and was shocked that En Min has graduated from Nursery to Carpenters' Workshop alr :( hahaha.. Gonna sound old if i'm typing abt this, but i've literally seen Aunty Grace's 4 kids since I joined Nursery! =/ I can totally uds why relatives alw love to say ＂哇！长大了，以前你才这么小.." blah blah blah.. Cos they really see us when we were that small! What more, my parents also have 4 kids... If only I'm a child again (minus those days when need to do homework and pa have to check ev night, climb the walls to turn on the lights, always switching off the tv whenever pa suddenly returns from work, pretending to sleep in the room and getting exposed when he tickles our feet, alw cry very pitifully at the correct time when i get bullied (haha! Must cry 5 min b4 pa comes back, very nicely placed! ), mummy to dig my ear cos alw kena blood, list goes on...)

Okie! I drove auto car again ytd! :) I'm quite proud of my parking cos it's much much better alr lah. Ha, but I kinda deserve to bang my head against the wall lah. My gear was at D and hand brake and i wanted to turn off my engine and get off the car. Wah thankfully I managed to catch my own mistake after a short while else I think I will do smth very stupid like the first time I drove manual car 2 years back.. Bad memories, haha!

Anw I still can't uds why students will still quit Local Uni after being enrolled.. WHY U ALL WANT TO ACCEPT IN THE FIRST PLACE :( ooops no offense, but I'm really curious.. meow!

1st day of school again

Yes, it's the first day or first night of school again.. Mechanics of Design. It's proj based!! Die... 50% project, 15% written test in week 6, 35% exam . At least this feel less stress than solids exam last term (80% exam!!!) but 50% proj is too much le lah..

I must really study hard this term le! I didnt do well at all last term cos my excuse was not enough time. Which is true on 1 hand - OT every weekend and traveling from pioneer to within 1.25 hrs for 4 times a week is no joke! And traveling ard Spore is very tiring and time consuming! But anw, it's over so I need to do better alr!

Who said school's fun! :( now I rather work again. HAHA! life's irony.

oh my! i cant believe time actually passed so fast.. it's been nearly 4 YEARS (in 2 months time!) since i've joined the video ministry, 7-8 YEARS in nursery ministry.. =/

and i finally drove an auto car today! hahahaha, not used to NOT having the clutch lahh... but my parking skills still sucks... :(

Finally met up with Nazreen and Serene after "so long" on 28 Jan. Really! Wanted to meet Priya to celebrate her birthday but sadly her husband dun allow :( cos he tot we were too young / immature cos we aren't married and etc..
But oh well! We gotten her a Pierre Cardin wallet and a bday card! Glad she liked it! :)
Had dinner and chit chat at Bakerzin! Haha!! Gossips!

Slept till 10am today! Very early alr, usually wakes up at 12 plus..
On the train towards raffles place. The heat in the train is killing me! Omg, I'm actually perspiring lah.. As cmp to trams in Melbourne, this is hell.. Humidity level is high sia.. And whenever I look up to see the sky, it's blocked by HDB flats :(

Woke up at 7am and chiong cos needed to be at the airport around 8:30 so needed to leave at 8am.. Reached airport ard 8:45 and check in!! A380 airbus is indeed awesome lah... Watched 3 and half movies, from the time it flew up and till landing.. 7 hours! Food was good and I was so hungry anyway! Ate up everything! :p reached s'pore at 3:30pm (Aussie 6:30) hoho! Must eat satay tmr!!! :D

Melbourne Day 10

Ok, basically travelled down to city area and had lunch at McDonald. Well, it's probably a s'porean instinct. There were birds flying and coming towards us in McDonald! I told the worker and she just smiled as if she heard it 100 over times le... Wah, the more we zhao from the birds, the more they follow us lor! Den I saw an old lady feeding the bird. It's bcos of kind ppl like them, the birds lose their natural hunting for worms skill....

Den went to federation square for tour bus to arrive! Yes, we were so close to Australian Open (it's just 5 min walk away!!) but we couldnt even be bothered to watch on tv lah...

First stop- Churchill island~ we got to see wallabies, sheep, horses, piglets, chicks, flowers. There was a sheep shearing demo also! A pity I didn't bring camera the other time (much closer view!!!)

2nd stop - Phillip Island koala conservation.. All of them just showed their backsides or either so high up on the tree.. The tour guide was sharing that koala 's lives are basically very lazy. After they eat leaves, they sleep, then maybe change tree and eat and sleep. The total time they take to change trees and etc is only 4 min a day! wahh super lazy lah...

3rd Stop- at the other end of PI! Super cold cos we are facing towards antarctica! And had dinner there..

4th and last stop- penguin parade itself. Our tour bus guide gave us a tip! To not sit at the concrete steps facing the sea cos it's not a parade literally, the so-called parade is real life de. He told us to stand along the pathways and it turned out that he was right! When the sunsets, the penguins head home and walks in groups. They'll walked across the beach heading towards the bushes, and den 1 or 2 penguins will stay put at a spot till the next batch arrives. Passing the baton luh.. The penguins we saw are the smallest kind, so cute and small! A pity we can't take pics cos it might blind them due to the flash. Stayed there till 10 and headed back to Melbourne! Wah reached Bell City at 1:20am and packed luggage till 4am :(

Last day of practical!
It was a workshop mainly on strain. So basically it was very hands on and the tcher's funny lah. The most epic part was when he told us to have a group name, 1 group was damn evil to name themselves the "chandras" (my s'pore tcher's name w/out s, and still said it's a kind of animal! Super evil..
Class ended at 3 and zhao :)
Went Northland again and then went back to get ready for our penguin parade tour next day!

Cold weather today, feel like mucus coming out.. Can't imagine how some Aussies can still wear shorts..
Reached school surprisingly on time! Den heard from lecturer that future batch school fees are gonna increase due to the high AUD value now. And will not give textbooks alr! Suay or lucky sia.

And we are on the trip to some turbine places and I didn't bring jie's camera and my hp!! Suay.. really unlucky! It's a farm tour! Direct contact with cows, sheep, dogs, kangaroo! So wasted! :( the only camera I had was my diana mini ... Our lunch was sumptuous- lamb and chicken. A pity I couldn't finish them. Didn't head for the toilet as lecturer said it's only a 15 min drive. And I'm tahaning my 尿尿 again ( cos his 5 min walk from parkside inn turned out to be a 5 min drive, so his 15 min drive is gonna be at least 1 hour. DIE.)
"if you drink, then drive, you're a bloody idiot" - an advertisement on the way to next stop - victorian desalination project. How they used salt water to become fresh water.. The design and etc in detail.. Though I suddenly felt that s'pore having the plant to recycle water (newater) is more smart... Haha...
And then a visit to the wind turbines, tahan my 尿尿 until 4:30 cos of the super long queue and only 1 cubicle! :( not the main point! The wind turbines generate electricity - can't rmb how much megawatts though. Prolly check the website...:/ hoho. Ehh not necessary cos we are given the brochure! :)
Reached back sch ard 7:30, for once my tcher's prediction was right! He said 2.5 hrs journey, ok his 33.3% accurate.. Haha..
Den went back w the tram, zzz stopped 1 stop early, walk the extra mile :/
Oh well, nothing much happened after that.. Zzz...

Lol! Only souvenir I bought cos I didn't bring camera!

Ok, woke up at 6 plus to head for school. Though the website state that there's shuttle service from hotel to school, but I think it's not in service cos it's sch holidays! :( took a taxi down to sch and the driver alighted us at the wrong campus - west campus! AUD $24 ! Still Had to walk over to the east and ended up late again...
Orientation and then tea break! Followed by 4 practical lessons. Zzz. At least the most interesting one is the last one - vibrations.
Then headed home with the tram. I'll probably rather stay in city area and travel for 1 hour up to school.. Haha! Sick lah, waste time. But oh wells, the place I'm living is really not here not there.. 1/2 hr ride to city and school..
Ate spaghetti for dinner and zzz on the bed!

Melbourne Day 4

Today's a day of change. Moved from Medina Grand Apt to Rydges Bell City. It's like a 天 and a 地 lor... Medina's was more of an apartment, with living room, dining table, bedroom, kitchen, washing machine, etc. Bell City only had queen size bed, mini kitchen, table and 2 chairs, bathroom. Ya pretty much like that nia...

Headed towards Northland Shopping Centre, which was closed by the time we reached (5:30pm) but the only encouragement was the internet service : $2 for 21 min! I mean I think it's better than having nothing..

Empty piece of land! Even pancake wanna play!

Went to dapao food at Dow Sing - a Chinese restaurant. Passable lah not fantastic..

Weather was sunny but chilly if there's such thing... Hot but cold cos of the wind!!
Slept ard 12 or 1 plus cos it was very hot under the comforters.. Zzz irony in life!

Slept at 2am and woke up at 6:40am to head for Great Ocean Tour!

Quite magnificent views! Sheep just stay at the same spot for makan, cows and horses so carefree..
12 apostles left with 8 now.. Traveling alone took up so much hours, thankful for bright and sunny weather!

Went to Victoria Market this afternoon! It's like Bugis Street lah but a really big version plus groceries too.

I flunk mechanics of solids and machines. Fluids on Friday, not gonna have any expectation. At most repeat whole term :( never felt so demoralised in my life before. Feels worse than doing Fluid Mechanics in Poly (duh, diploma and degree got lots of difference to me).

Still preparing for exams, it's exactly 1 week time! "happy new year!" not so, when u have 3 exam papers waiting for you in 2 days time.

To make things worse, whenever I need clarification, need to refer back to textbook! Maybe poly spoonfed us pretty well, but it's just NUTS to search high and low from textbook when lecture notes would be much summarized. Who says with textbook you can understand better! Wrong theory la..

Haiz, I think I'm in for some deep crap next whole week. Who said diploma was tough?! Wait till you take a degree, it's a whole new level. #die

The Edge Conference

the Edge conference wasn't bad, cant compare with last years' cos i didn't go! haha, but i think the workshops are really practical. particularly liked day 2 workshop by esther! :) something about being effective in Street Evangelism. and how to do personal devotion by carman on day 3! sessions were shared by Pastor Jeremy Seaward, Ps Jude Fouquier (2009's youth camp speaker!!) and Ps Henry Seeley (from Planetshakers!)

i mean it's not because of the speakers that's why i'm attending the conference but it's really a time to catch up with God. since i haven't been to net for 2 months since classes started, the edge services cos of stupid OTs, sunday services cos of duties, not attending LIW classes cos i've completed up to level 4 alr, what else to take besides retaking ev'thing. haven't been very disciplined to do my personal devotions too. so there's no spiritual intake and sometimes it gets really really really dry. weary, heavy laden, tired and just feel like giving up. but i need to PRESS ON!

and i just realised this afternoon that i've pre exam workshop on 10 Dec which is my last day of work!!! :( i still need to rush down from sch on my last day of work! why?!! :(

An impromptu title which really shows what I wanna type today! :)

I always wonder or think of the decisions that I've been making all my life. And how God actually brought me and still bringing me through..

I've been talking about my life since my PSLE days to secondary school days to O level. Of how I managed to go on to the next level by the skin of my teeth.

Even in Polytechnic, though my year 3 life was much more memorable. Hmm, my final semester was Teaching Factory - programming. How I regretted doing programming but God made a way! Haha! Of cos thru the people lah. Supervisor and teammates! If not how can I ever get a perfect GPA for the one and only time in my life. LOL.

And my final semester studying in year 3 stage A. How I regretted not studying enough for Fluid Mechanics (was expecting to fail the module seriously but thank God I had a D) pretty angry at the ugly grade cos after maintaining for 2 years, instead of a Dist is an ugly D. But it's better than failing! Reprimanded myself for napping that night instead of mugging for the last lap literally! Anyway, I couldn't do the paper, slept a little during the paper, bawled my eyes out after the paper cos I knew that I would fail the paper. So I was really really thankful for a D! And this semester was my highest GPA in 5 sem! See how awesome God is?! Really taught me to depend on Him..

So university was next. Getting into local university was my goal since poly cos I hate it when people thinks that only JC students can make it. Sadly got rejected for full time cos the COP this year is so high lah! From 3.3 to 3.6 leh! Just last year was only 3.2 to 3.3, how come my turn so suay right! But I'm very sure God purposely lah. Haha! Got story behind this university thing de.

I kept telling God that I really x2357535787335 want to get into NTU! Full time OR part time also can! so long as it's NTU. And if I can get a place, I'm willing to go for M! =X sounds like 我谈条件 lor. But in my heart..... I wanna get into Full Time so that I can stay in hostel and zhao from youth ministries. I don't mind getting Part Time cos I would have the chance to do the former plus my workplace so near NTU! And I got a place for Part Time (4 years course) in NTU!! and I was rejoicing and very thankful however... I felt that it wasn't right for me. Decisions made by feelings? I dunno. I didn't accept nor reject the offer. Thought really hard. I received the letter in May! And my workload was just so much! I did a total of 60.5 hours OT just in that month. How am I supposed to handle work and studies at the same time? Plus study in NTU die die must work at the same time if not can't get the tuition grant. This was also part of the reason why I didn't accept cos it takes 4 years and you need to work at the same time..

So I decided to look for another alternative ie what i'm currently doing. Study in a private school cos my course requires only 27 months part time. And it's in Hougang, better than Pioneer right?! Some may say that it's the prestigious degree, but sometimes it doesn't really matter where you do, as long as your certificate really worth something at the end like first class or second upper lor.

I've written my reasons in my previous post, and how I think I will really die if I don't study. In fact I'm expecting lousy grades this term :( I thank God for courage and wisdom that I handed my resignation letter already and don't care about the bonus. Cos I think I can use this 1 solid month to catch up before my examinations. Speaking of that, I'm gonna have an awesome new year.

7th Jan- Mechanics of Fluids
But on the bright side: thank God for christmas and new year's day that's why examination are delayed for 2 weeks! :) not trying to be optimistic lah, but it was really a fact when I realised. Heh.

Very difficult to surrender everything to Him cos I struggle too. Self-note: don't use logic to win God. His ways are higher than our ways. (I just noticed that God gives me choices and I always seems to make wrong choices but He always makes it right in the end when asks)

Finally can type a whole chunk after months! :)

Full time work, part time studies

Hmm.. The reason why I'm not sleeping is because I'm still trying to finish my assignments! Dun think I'm hardworking hor, it's because I've been procrastinating a lot. On one hand, it was due to workload. It increased tremendously in Oct, in fact it's more than double the workload.. Plus my lecturer needed to do make-up classes cos we will miss 4 classes if he's on leave! Oh man, we had to suffer for him to enjoy his holiday! Lol.. So it was 4 classes a week - mon tues wed and fri. Traveling from pioneer to toa payoh, den taking the red line to Bishan, den taking the circle line to Serangoon, den taking the purple line to Hougang, den having a good 10 min walk to my school and still having to go thru the fear of getting bird shit from the massive birds is REALLY no joke! In the month of Oct, 4 classes a week, heavy workload-need to do OT until wee hours is seriously no fun. Been thinking a lot, year end bonus or a break to focus on my studies for now. Bonus leh, I can buy lots of stuff for Christmas and my Australia trip in January! Studies will also determine my future leh.. So I decided to go for the latter. Yes, I've tendered my resignation letter last Friday :) gave my boss a shock, really sorry but I needed to do it.

Since I started my studies, I told myself to do well to prove to my pa that I can handle! My determination level was like 100% but as my workload increased, plus colleagues kept picking on us, I started neglecting my studies, my work wasn't very productive, I started feeling stressed! Like seriously.

Dreamt of my work many times:
That I needed to do OT and was on my way to take the transport
That I needed to finish up 1 last parameter (before waking up)
Sleep-talk of how many lines production is gonna produce..
Line 203, 204, PF4, PF6..
Even talk about my work subconsciously: when my pa and I talking about A380 to Australia, I kept saying A30H which was somewhat similar (A20H) to my work..

I mean this is really bad and signs of a workaholic. I needed to study! I really need to. Plus I'm not resigning because of studies alone but it's because of the job scope itself. No sense of achievements just by doing 33 weekly reports. I don't learn anything maybe that's why I also couldn't adjust back to my study mode.. Not really worth to neglect my studies mah. Rather use the month after I become unemployed(hohoho!!) to study for my examinations.

A piece of advice: try not to work and study at the same time. Unless you really need the money for your family.
Cliche but really true. 不听老人言，吃亏在眼前.
The only thing which can encourage me to continue working in future is because my current workplace is super far!! =X

Ok that's about it. I dunno how I'm gonna wake up in 1 hour time to go to work.. I feel better having to blog this whole chunk after so long (:

Personal Devotions

I admit, i really dunno how to do personal devotions right, and i lack lots of discipline. I think the following steps is really useful and serves as a reminder to me!

1. Realize that personal devotions have to be a choice. If we have relationship based on a "have to" then it is more like a work relationship than a love relationship. Devotions have to be based on love.

2. Do devotions as soon as you wake up. Here you are still relaxed and setting the tone for the day, spending time reflecting on God’s Word must be beneficial in this.

3. Have a set place for devotion and certain ideas on how you will "do" devotion.

4. Start by listening to God, read the Bible and spend time meditating on it. Devotion is not a good time to follow a reading plan, otherwise you will get sucked into a "have to" and not spend time listening to God. However a separate Bible reading plan is useful as we need to know what God is saying and know how to place Scripture in context but this is different from a time of devotion.

5. Involve prayer in your meditation; you can pray verses or converse with God while reading the Bible; just make sure you are also listening to what God might be saying. A relationship is two way. Meditation should include quiet reflection and an open heart.

6. Set out to read a passage of Scripture rather than a verse or two, context is important; but if you do find that one verse has a lot to say to you allow yourself the flexibility to meditate on one verse. A relationship needs flexibility.

7. Do not beat yourself up about missing a daily devotion; make sure you complete it later in the day if at all possible, God is not an angry dictator but loves you enough to understand.

8. Keep a devotional journal. It can be a very useful tool for remembering how things touched you and reflecting further or at a later date. A dedicated notebook and pen or pencil are useful for this and should be kept with your devotion Bible.

9. Go through a few questions before starting, such as: Do I need to forgive anyone? Do I have to ask anyone to forgive me? Is anything in my heart blocking me from getting the most from this personal act of devotion? Do I need to confess any sin?

10. Enjoy the relationship. What a great way to start the day by conversing with God!

Time spent with God is powerful and life changing.

ahh.. juz got a rejection letter from NTU last night (and NUS at night) for full time degree.. sad but bo bian, super competitive and results prolly not good enough since they count both GPA and O level results.. nevertheless, still thank God cos His ways are higher than my ways. At least still got offer to do part time degree in NTU, but i dun think it's advisable to work and study. oh wells, lidat i cannot get student deal if i wanna extend my hp contract sia ): bo hua! hahaha.. shit, need to leave home soon for work. i dun understand what i've been doing. slogging like a horse..

OMG, haven't blogged for 20 days!!

it's been really eventful for the past 20 days. lots more coming up! There's UMA's wedding rehearsal later tonight, and his wedding this sat!! O my gosh, it seemed so fast but we learnt about the news quite a while ago alr! we'll welcome ADA~ hahaha!

okok, gotta update some stuff about my life, gonna be really lengthy cos i doubt anyone will read and this is juz an entry to rmb and laugh at in future! (:

6th March

Handbilling with Pamelia and Sebert in the morning! and i was late again ): boo.. but thank God we finished saturating the handbills on the Miracle Rally! Met up with HS for a CET event at Suntec later afternoon. tot it will be a career fair, it was actually Continuing Education and Training. like sian, kena scam. hahaha.

7th March

Church Service! cant rmb what i did that day =X oh! went down to TPY for recording!

8th March

Must be sleeping until afternoon before finding jobs online! LOL!

9th March

Went to Job Agencies at Tamp CPF building before gg for Nihon Mura's buffet! awesome! since it's gonna be our last student buffet and before we start work... Ate until wanted to die sia. partly becos they changed the system. instead of having waitress to take orders up and down, they provide a paper and expect us to tick the ones we want. in 1 way, it's faster and more reliable. but in another, all the food will arrive at the same time! so we kena the latter. was shocked at the amount of food that we nearly couldn't finish them and didn't even call for 2nd round sia. haiz. such a waste!

Later that night, had Caregroup at Nihon Mura again! nearly wanted to die sia. didn't eat anything there in the end but had great fellowship at there and Starbucks! (which we enjoyed 20% discount with courtesy of Cleone's ex-manager!)

10th March

Sleep and den find jobs online.. went for Roller-Blading and Cycling! omg, i learnt how to stand properly and walk in rollerblades! fell so many times on my butt and my front that i had muscle ache the next day! scary but good attempt! with Cleone as the shi-fu! LOL. den we literally walked from Pasir Ris Park all the way home. how did we did it...

11th March

Sleep, went to Tamp Agencies with Cleone, walked ard tamp central, went to Tamp Safra for bowling! LOL. C was nervous 1/2 of the time cos of her exam results! went to TP design for western food, b4 gg to CS for movie - Up in the Air! Good show!

FINALLY GOT A REPLY! LOL! but stating that i forgot to attach my resume... wth... hahaha.. den went down to VFC Tamp to do housekeeping for UMA's wedding! hahaha.. den finally got a reply! blah blah, gotta head for a consultant interview the next day.

Head to Ngee Ann City, blah blah. told to go for interview either thurs or fri.. lol.. as a technician! so cool lah! wanted to eat mac value lunch, but got cheated ): boo.

18th March

Leaders' Retreat at VFC Tamp! hahaha, the good thing about having it in church is that it's nearby and lotsa food and break time! went down for interview at AMK. realised that i was super early when i reached the bus stop. interview is at 3:45pm, i was at the bus stop at 2:30! but such a coincidence that it started drizzling & rain! but heng, i rmb yimon's words... "bring umbrella when i go interview" lucky i bring sia! cut the long story short, i managed to find my way to the office itself (so hard also lor!!) at 3:30pm! ya, like what was i doing! anyways, interview went pretty ok lah. den head back home b4 gg to Expo for G12 Conference!

upon reaching home, RE called to say i was offered that job! i've tot of escapism, really. but i felt that now isn't the time. (about some stuffs) and this working shift is 2:45-11:15.. so, u can understand how i felt den. wanted to sign contract the next day, and start work next week, but blah blah blah blah, told them abt UMA's wedding, etc etc (to buffer time) was thinking of it thru-out the G12! ):

19th March

woke up late... den i dropped the bomb when RE called! about changing shift time and etc. at 11 lidat, kns dun allow and i dun want kns! ): hahhahaa! the company's name is super classic! i actually LOL-ed each time i tell ppl/think of it! like what sia... hahahaa.. sorry! kept thinking of the money and etc.. ):

sent emails in the wee morning, den sleep den G12. late again lah.. hahhaa.. so tried to listen attentively! really tried! i mean, the last time i sat thru lectures of 40 min x 3 speakers is at least last aug! cant rmb the feeling! LOL! so anyways, we went down to Nic's house for dinner b4 cabbing to Expo.

21st March

Nursery Duty in the morning~ den slack in the afternn b4 preparing for Youth Net Rally! hahhaa. cant rmb a lot of things! =X

22nd March

went to help UMA! surprisingly we went to his house and carried some stuffs to surprisingly bring to his new flat! OMG!! the sad thing is that dun have lift, and he's living on the 4th floor akin the highest floor! den silly Jemima fell down at the flight of stairs, not once but twice! hahhaa! but anyway, RE called for another interview at pioneer as an engg asst. sounds more xin nang than the previous, plus lesser working hours, plus got transport! den went to TPY to bring video cameras to tamp building.. den packed the mess which was left overnight! :(

23rd March

the interview at Pioneer Cres was at 9am, expected to reach at 8:45am. took the bus at 8am! super early lor! den..... the lil drama dash starts....

i realised juz below Simei Mrt Station that morning that my right pump felt weird, when i took the bus at Boon Lay, den i realised that my shoe was spoiling! if got such term.. pretty worried but i knew that i can do it!

on the bus, realised i missed my stop! after getting off the next stop, realised that i may be lagging 2 stops! (i dunno y i was thinking of that) but after thinking and debating with myself for 5 min, i decided to walk to the previous bus stop! (i dunno y i didn't wanna take bus instead!) so while walking, i realised that not all is pavement! means i gotta walk on the road itself and it's so dangerous with all the big vehicles leh. plus i cant afford to walk on grass cos my shoe's spoiling and it started to drizzle!

so there was a gas station and cheers nearby. decided to maybe buy a pair of slippers. i rather wear slippers than be barefooted lor. but they don't sell them! what rotten luck! ahh, so i tot maybe juz tahan when RE called if i was reaching soon, etc.. immediately after the conversation ended, my shoe went SNAPPED! crap! cannot wear at all! walked to the opp bus stop, and decided to call RE again abt this. plus, a heavy downpour juz came! ): wanted to go to JP and buy shoes but they say dun, juz take taxi down to interview.. :(

so at the bus stop, i wanted to throw my shoes away (stupid tot!) the aunty at the bus stop stopped me and searched for rubber bands in her bag! :D wow! lucky she had 2 leh!! =D so i juz wore the shoes in the end.. den bus came and i was pretty worried for the bus uncle bcos even i could hardly see what is ahead of me! the rain was so heavy luh! stopped at the next stop and saw the building opposite! so near yet so far! REALLY!! i couldn't even see the entrance from the bus stop!

the rain was so heavy that even my umbrella flew when i placed it on the chair at the bus stop. wow. amazing. quickly flagged a taxi and felt very pai sei about wetting the seats! hahaha! funnily, i told the uncle that i wanted to go to that building *points to that building* and he started laughing at me being drenched! (lucky again, i wore double layer, cos i was drenched to the max!) hahaha, so i told the taxi uncle that my shoe's spoilt also, and he laughed and laughed! and when i told him that i was going to that building for a job interview, he lagi laughed until like siao! aiyo! felt so embarrassing lah, but it's a fact lor, even i wanted to laugh at myself! what luck hor! so the kind taxi uncle gave me his towel to dry myself and kept commenting on the company building cos there's no windows (quite true), and the entrance was very far in.. gotta walk for ard 10 min b4 the entrance.

then, upon reaching the company, the taxi uncle exclaimed that he forgot to turn on the meter! LOL! so he wanted to charge me $4 (since there's also peak hour charge) but decided to charge $3 instead! thank God!

my feelings that morning was so mix mix, happy, thankful, glad, sian-ed, etc.

and so juz when i tot ev'thing is gonna be alright at the company itself, (even the security guards were laughing at my shoes! LOL!) i saw the same applicant who was at AMK with me in the same place! like, what are the odds! LOL! i have the weird feeling that i know her in my normal life.. but, ya! i was appalled! hahaha.

ok, den interview was ok lor! i mean, how to comment on interview? if i say Good, den sekali they dun wan me, den how? if i say bad, den sekali they wan me, den how? is either full of confidence or lack of it right! that's y i only say, ok lor! hahaha!

went down to JP's pretty fit to buy shoes! (: ex but worth it lah.

later that day at 4 plus, RE called to say i was offered. couldn't think of anything but to accept since this company seems better than previous (personally, cos at least the night hours are avail), and even though i have to wake up super duper early which i'm fine with now (i know i will curse and swear in future), this is to train myself if i can ever get into NTU mah! hahhaa! i feel proud of my own mindset! LOL!

ok, so they called me to sign contract the next day, which is 24th! cut long story short, parents don't mind, only thing is what time to wake up if sis is using toilet at 5, bro is using at 5:30, when i need to catch the bus at 6:40 ):

24th March

finally! i think this is my longest post ever! =D hahaha!

okay, so final semester results coming out today! and i slept thru the night instead of staying up! haha, lucky cos didn't received any email when i checked at 7am.

so blah blah blah, on the train ard 8:05, was sms-in HS when my results came out! yes!! supervisor BOK is so kind and he really kept his promise and he gave us an A, GPA is 4.000! OMG lah, my 1st and last 4.0 in my whole poly life! cGPA went up le, though it still lose to my 1st cGPA by 0.004, but at least i've tried my best to pull my grades up! (: thank you Jesus for favour! really, without favour also, u cant achieve much!

den went down to sign contract, den went to JP's clinic for medical checkup (ev'thing in 1 hr), den went to RE at jurong east to pay introduction fee :( den went to SP for lunch (where i saw other MDC supervisors!! heng is not botak!) and buy SP shirts cos i long time no see too, den went to Aunt Choo's house to pass to her Weiwen's bday present, and then i went back home! it was continuously lor! just 23rd and 24th's bus and train fares alr take up at least $15!! i'm so shocked and lost for words sia! ):

omg, today marks the last day of my "stay" in Machine Development Centre (MDC) in SP's W1112!! 20 weeks in that 20 degrees Celsius room, almost 5 months just passed like that! 20 weeks pass really slow, the last day of sch passes real fast! =( haiz.. and and and, finally took a class photo! like after 2 years! and it's not ev'one somemore.. haiz..

i kena owned big time last week! ):

anw, had a surprise off day last fri! scared my ma when i got back home on fri afternoon.. spring cleaned my room all the way till sun 3:30am.. (with breaks in b/w like net, sleep, reunion dinner). had nursery duty that morning in church, only 4 babies with 4 nursery helpers and 2 parents.. haha, den went for visitation at the west~ first time saw my cousins (mom's side) all gathered at my ah ma's house! (: den drove up to Genting on Monday (no joke) super impromptu, but kinda wasted cos nothing to shop by the time we reached there, and i'm underage to enter Casino. zzz. reached S'pore at 2pm on Tues, went for visitation to pa's side.. Wed, today.. went to airport to send Madeline off, back to HK! now back home to chiong the assignment which Mr Leong gave. cos he said that we have a long weekend (which it's not true for me, but i gotta do it!!) zzz

it's the weekend again.. had workday on sat morning, supposed to meet net at 8am, but i overslept =X i tot it was only 7 am when one of my mbrs called, but after i found out the "truth", chiong to church lor.. thankful for 4 of them! cos ev'thing was almost done when i reached at 8:40am.. (:

had breakfast and den went to central to update my POSB card. haha! cos i was still holding the ancient one lah, almost 7 years ago le.. and lagi no time to change the card since i'm in school when the bank opens.. waited for nearly 50 min to my turn =/ den went home and came out again to make an UOB card. wanted to open a Savings acc but not enough money to open acc ): so got a Nets Flash card (which the "govt" had been 宣传 -ing for quite some time..) ha, den went for Edge! the bus left super on time! i reached at 4:32pm, the bus left at 4:30pm ): took 969 in the end! zzz.. woah, the sermon at the edge was good! Awakening! very timely indeed.. after edge, went to Punggol Park. i think i made a big detour luh. i took the train from Yishun to Douby Ghaut, den NEL to Hougang. i shld had taken the circle line lah! =( but it wasn't too bad after all lah..

had 4K's class BBQ/gathering first time in 3 years! LOL. lots of miggling ard, and lots of us changed! skinnier, taller, fairer, prettier, blah~ Wilson is so TALL! super unfair, last time in early sec 3, i used to be slightly taller den him! :( what happened to ME?! but anw, Mr K came! and shld had seen us sia.. he was talking and placing his hand on a tree, while all of us were facing him and listening to him (some sit on the chairs, floor, Styrofoam box, another one "kena" punishment to stand in front of the class (actually is stand beside K la.. ) ) joked about the funny stuffs which happened in 4K'06. got ppl kick the urinal (and i think it broke =/ ) by Clement, steal sodium and "explode" toilet bowl by Kenny!!, kena caning, scolding vulgarities to t'chers, t'chers crying, t'cher drawing on the whiteboard a big sad face and saying "I AM SAD!" (K lah!) , ji xiao-ing the t'chers, missing some t'chers.. eg. Mr Gopal! he alr got a son!! OMG!! O.O that joker t'cher! LOL. and of cos the infamous 'guess my name' game. lol. quite hilarious cos K couldn't get some of our names right! zzz.. eg, when he said Joanne so confidently! zzz. i knew that was coming out from his mouth! hahaha, so he was quite shocked when we said "not correct!" haha! cos incorrect ans muz pay $10! haha! but anw, the whole gathering was fun and cool.. and he's married and 1st child is coming out soon.. wah.. this man arh... so low profile... got a ride home and reached home ard 12 plus /1.. exhausted but thankfully i made the choice to go! =D

church today.. morning video duty - i forgot my pledge number lor, and i didn't had enough $$ to give my willing offering (cos it's in my UOB card..) arghh.. went home after lunch and slept.. overslept big time for evening video duty.. woke up at 4 initially, but i still had 15min grace~ (feel super gei-gao sia) woke up at 5 plus in the end and msg-ed nic =/ was determined to get up of the bed but i felt myself drifting to lala land.. really, i tried shaking and moving myself up, scolded myself to wake up. but i noe that i will fail.. so i told myself, "ok, close eyes first, later den open" opened at 7 plus. GG, service finishing alr..

i NEVER (almost la) apply any stuffs that i've learnt in the past 2 1/2 yrs here in Teaching Factory! PLC was cmi lah, C++ was 2 years ago alr! how to rmb.. smth just strucked me just now - "if only i studied harder in secondary sch ): " i would had strive to go for Junior College (yeah, a Poly kid saying this) instead of going to Poly and getting a Diploma (which could be equate to nothing in knowledge) i mean, whatever we learnt in Poly, is no use lor.. ownage by supervisor last year also. wah.. in Poly, we are spoon fed and i am sure that i cant rmb some theory esp from ThermoFluids modules.. yeah, i prolly had said that JCs are for nerds, Poly are for cool ppl 3 years ago. i find myself real stupid now. ): how to go to University thru Poly? only 1343 graduates from SP made it to local U leh.. as cmp to the whole yr3 cohort leh? 4000+? it's possible to go University, but ur GPA gotta be super good leh.. i know, i feel very very depressed now - melancholic takes over again.. but it's true.. ): why i didn't study harder? i feel extremely angry with myself for my yr 1.2 and 2.1 GPA, lowest of the lowest. bcos of these, struggling to pull cGPA up ): ok, 7 sad faces le.. bye..

okay, 1st week of 2010 is ending in 10 min time. really quite bz. attempt to do proj many times, sometimes dunno is it i'm dumb or what, cos i'm alw struggling.

attempting to do scripture sharing / word and a net roster for net for this year. if not i'll alw inform them super last min which is super bad.

just had corporate sunday service today. setup ytd was ok yet hilarious at the last part. we got "trapped" in Suntec Convention Centre! OMG, next time will update again. had nursery duty this morning. omg, kids all so adorable! and the En Siblings grew up so fast (: aiya! even matthew's sis - Hannah can walk alr! OMG lah, last June, she was still in a cradle can...

then went for lunch which was decided after walking nearly 2 rounds at the Fountain of Wealth. hahaha.. den went to Carnival and slack and had Video Duty at 4pm. so blah blah... Service ended at 7:30pm!! and we chiong to do tear down. OMG, record breaker this time round. we took only 1 hour to do it! i expected 2 hours the minimum but i guess more hands, less work (: hurray. went for tau huey supper after that~ (:

school and then went to Cleone's house for her net outreach with Sean to add DYNAMIC! hahaha! great fun and laughter! esp when we had to act out Christmas Carols! haha! celebrated Isaac's bday too! anyway, main point is this!! Lady Gaga's Bad Romance!
the article on the website actually mentioned that it has occult in the music video! and the song, definitely. OMG, it links now! during the 1 month media fast on NOV 5 - DEC 5, i listened to FM98.7 for 9 hrs straight for 2 weeks, and i kept hearing secular music which are repeated at least 3 times a day.. no choice cos i cant turn off the radio mah. but i was kinda hooked to Lady Gaga's songs cos so catchy and catchy basically.. it turned out that her songs contain occult... omg.. i dunno how to react sia.. i gave in the temptation den ): thank God for Cleone's consistency on checking out music stuff if not we'll never know the real meaning...

25th dec:

Christ-mas day~ had our Christmas outreach! it wasn't bad, in fact very good and fun! it was the first time we had no chairs to sit, but thankfully justin's ma managed to find more~ wah, we were shocked at the number. haha, basically there were 7 + 4 visitors.. haha, should had seen my reaction when i saw that we literally had to squeeze chairs in the living room. anyway, Thank God for the response, and the enthusiasm of everyone who brought their friends and brought laughters. :)

26th - 27th dec:

off to Batam! coincidentally, we met my parents' church friends at the check-in! and they happened to be at the same resort as us~ while waiting to get off the ferry at waterfront ferry point, happened to see a secondary sch classmate! tell me man, the probability of these! some more i long long time never see him liao lor.. the resort was fantastic man. i alw had a bad impression cos of (GYL) LOL! but this Harris Batam Resort totally blew my mind away~ took a video :)

haha, anyway, we went for massage which was creepy, i kept giggling, making noise and juz in pain. felt ironically sian after the massage. LOL. and then had early dinner which was expensive cos it's all in SGD, chicken backside lor.. hahaha.. and then on our way back to the room, we saw another family from our church! at the back of my mind i was thinking "omg, 3 times le..." nua in the room and went for "swimming" at the big pool.. hahah, yes, i was jus walking ard literally. tried swimming with lotsa help, and i can proudly say... i still cant swim! went back and bathed, omg, the toilet is like so nice.. hahaha.. then we room-serviced for our pizza cos we checking out in the morning and suay suay 24th-26th is room-service busiest moments cos of a Christmas party downstairs... but anw, the long wait (1 hr) was worth it when the pizza came. tres bien! :) zzzz at 11 plus SG time..

woke up at 7am for breakfast. the only thing i like abt indonesia - 7am indonesia time = 8am sg time = wake up later :) ha! but but but cos of this, alarm also will ring earlier cos "forgot" to add an hour.. breakfast was ok and then nua in the room again when i chanced upon an anime. 蜡笔小新; crayon shinchan. :D wah, so happy sia! den i realised... it's in Bahasa Indonesian... zzz..

went to Nagoya Hill shopping centre after checking out, nothing much to buy cos dunno what to buy =X haha, but yet again, i saw 蜡笔小新; crayon shinchan comic book! chicken mcnugget right! but it's not in english or chinese.. went to A&W to eat, chicken very small cos got no steriods but stupid manager cheat my RP100 ): lie that got no more. my sis also kena, but heng she questioned him and he gave. wa lao, if he lidat to 10 ppl alr can save RP1000 leh.. a lot of $$ leh.. ~12 cents =/ ha! but the point is that i saw a SP guy there too...

then headed back to the ferry terminal, supposed to leave at 4:30pm but ferry only came at 5 cos of rain... so reached sg ard 7 plus sgtime. sian sia, the ride home and etc...

28th dec:

yes, back to sch ): if not for me, ev'one would had stayed longer.. lol.. reluctant to go to sch but need to! the thai ppl also came back! haha! anw, we were given some mini assignment juz now but i screwed up. LOL. CPU: i couldn't unscrew some stuffs and comp hang and the card not placed properly. kena owned big time sia. went to SP new Hilltop Library, freaking far and really Hilltop sia. next to T22, in front of carpark..

went for BBQ at pasir ris. hated the SBS bus, so freaking long, that's the reason why i NEVER like taking bus back home.. peak hour, wait so long, so long queue, drive also slow cos of heavy traffic. i rather depend on my 2 car. :)

BBQ was great. food and fellowship~ the sea and the moon.. though the mud juz spoil our feeling.. lol.. very smelly and had to wash hair again that night.. haiz.. thank God i didnt drive cos it's so dark and i dunno the way lor.. luckily got some R6 ppl on the same bus :) haha! ended ard 10 plus, reached home at 11 plus lidat.. back at my mind "got Video BBQ tmr!! :D" that's right, another night to wash hair, LOL.

29th dec:

sch as usual.. tried researching for manage codes for array and structure for C programming.. wah, sometimes whatever we learn in sch/ class/ lecture theatres/ tutorials doesn't come to handy at all. it's the outside world/ working world which equates to reality.

ok, den left sch for pam house for Video ministry BBQ! no smelly hair cos no charcoal used~ haha! great time of fellowship and laughters!

forgot to bring hp to sch again, heng not gg out (: but such a sickening feeling w/out it, cos suddenly needed it at a point. haiz.

surprise offday! :D zzz till 12 cos only slept at 3 plus the night b4~ managed to finish watching 'the Hunchback of Notre Dame' animation! found out on New Year's Day that Channel 5 is showing it! dang, it's alw lidat! =( now i can finally convince myself to read the book finish (cos it's mega thick and really chim english.. off for Watchnight Service! Nursery for the first part! :) lol, lucky not many babies~ the food during the break was quite awesome! hahaha.. and then we partake communion which was well packaged! first time we saw it, and pardon my lousy phone colour quality. wafer on the top, syrup in the cup..

Sat:
Supposed to reach school at 9am for SPYOG training but i woke up at 8:50 in the morning! reached sch at 11am in e end, juz nice for refreshment :) hahaa.. training until 1 plus, nearing 2 den head down to Pam's house with Cheryl for their FYP. cant resist not uploading her doggy pic! =D really cute!
wah, i think their proj is real cool luh -smth like changing Air to Water! omg, must head down to SPINNOVEX and see their actual product! den went to yishun for edge, but didn't send the Gideonites off that night! backside lah, cos my hp and laptop flat, felt very insecure lor. it's a stupid choice afterall.
Sun:
Had morning video duty, terrible me is alw late for duty, i must change this bad habit!! i think Pastor Roy's sermon that morning was extremely good! 'Do you have room for Jesus?' or smth along the same line. When Mary was having labour, there wasn't any room available in the inns. and so Jesus was born in the manger.. He first came, and there was no room for him. at His 2nd coming, do you have room for Him this time? - really made me think tat moment... after service was a short carolling session and den chiong to driving for circuit.. Deer meat, i tot i was early cos my watch was 4:35pm (means 4:25pm cos 10 min fast) but it turned to be 5 min fast nia.. doesn't really affect luh, cos instructor reached after i reach.. then he was saying that circuit's parallel parking changed a little, there was an additional 6-inch kerb at the front of the parking slot. so that means we have to turn in later cos it's slightly narrow-er cmp to norm. so kept practising that parking slots for sun and mon. reached home ard 6 plus or 7, watched '爱' for a while and fell asleep on the sofa, was really tired. but woke up at 9 plus to bathe and zzz. lol.

Mon:
TP test! really nervous during the whole "warm up". never felt so nervous in my whole TP tests b4. zzz. did mistakes too, esp driving that part. though instructor tried encouraging me to pass the test and save $$, didn't really work alot. wanted to pee so badly (which was a good sign cos i alw do well in whatever tests if i pee b4 the test. HAHA!) the TP officer was really encouraging too! first time in my 3 tests, i saw this kinda person. He was juz saying that we all can pass, and etc.. that even if we fail, it's ok. etc.. wah, felt so comforting after that lor! :) wasn't the first to be tested, neither the middle part. was finally the last few.. super nervous during the whole test (as seen from previous post.. zzz)
after TP, went to Funan IT Mall to service my laptop. the fan got problem, kept making noise and heats up very very fast. haiz. heng got warranty for the part but need to pay $86 for labour cost :( heart ache though. still didn't bring any $$ confidently lor. went home and then went for lunch at 3pm with Jem, Cleone and Jie in lieu of Jie's bday and my passing of TP! haha! saw others at TAMP 1 too, so went to sushi tei tgt. went to popular to get stuffs and head home! :) aiya, didn't got a chance to drive cos no drivers with me :( sian right.

woke up at 9 plus cos heading down to Esther's place for her bday. lol. funny thing is , i still dunno how old she is. LOL. :X came home and tried to watch the k drama but cant find the full episodes leh! sian. the end of watch k drama le..

my title for this post is finally 'TP (:' instead of 'TP ):' 'TP )):' !!
thank God!! i passed my driving test this morning!
--
1) thank God that there's a school retreat on 14th and 15th dec, so all the students don't have to go to sch for proj and etc! in other words - OFF DAYS! and my TP is on 14th morning, so i don't have to apply for Leave of Absence (LOA) which was bothering me for a long time. ha!

2) prayer works! i thought 9:15am slot is super peak and crowded at Ubi! but it turned out a little otherwise. the traffic probably decreased by 5x as what nicole prayed! haha!

3) instructor!! omg, i muz say smth. i thank God that i failed my 1st 2 TP cos if i hadn't failed my 1st, i wouldn't had known how to do safety check when doing parking(s) and dir change. 2nd, i wouldn't had known that i've been learning my clutch and acceleration and turnings wrongly! yes yes, sure a failure right. and so i 'secretly' changed instructor (cos his lessons super ex and also no guarantee pass since i failed twice. LOL) and this instructor kept scolding and hitting me cos of all my mistakes ):
but nv-the-less, at least i learnt how to do U-turn correctly (clutch actually needs to let go and add a little oil when u're returning to the lane),
turn right correctly cos that's my biggest fear in driving actually... (to actually turn a quarter when reach yellow box/ a lil in front of pedestrian lane when junction box don't exist),
to only turn back the steering wheel when you see the head of the car in the "dotted line" - tat means juz nice in the lane, when doing the left turn.
i mean, so many mistakes leh! no wonder i alw no confident in driving and not the circuit. :( ytd during driving, found out that the circuit's parallel parking changed a lil so had to adjust the marking when i turn in.. cos CDC was preparing for the upcoming new rule.. so this morning during circuit, instructor kept telling me to pass if not re-test have to pay more $$ for circuit and no more poles for parking! so die die must pass.. wah, super stress sia.. den i think i kinda de-stress when i saw 1 car on TP doing her vertical parking. when she wanted to turn in, my instructor commented smth like 'aiyo, surely cannot go in, turn too late' (obviously in chinese, eng is a more universal language to type mah) so i was like ' huh, den lidat will deduct how many points if require additional move' i actually know the ans cos i kena during my 1st TP for parallel.. LOL. if not so quiet in the car mah.. '4 points, if cannot do more than 3 times, fail le' so i was hoping that the car could faster pass and let me go forward to practice my vertical parking but!! she failed at her 2nd attempt, she was doing parallel parking style cos we saw her wheels straightened which was a big no-no. so she tried again, and she did the same mistake! and attempted turning right while reversing which was lagi wrong. ): haiz, she really made an effort to get the car in lor.. but i think we didn't see that part, cos i juz wanted to practice v. parking again. ok, i was looking & comforting myself w ppl's misfortune lah which is wrong. but anw, the whole circuit test was scary! worried that i'll be out of the lane esp at the bends, worried that i'll slide down at the slope, worried that i'll strike or even mount kerb at the dir change, S & Crank course, worried that i'll strike pole during parking. so worried over all these luh.. tried to keep my composure but in the end kena all the 'fail to do safety check, fail to check blind spots, incorrect way of checking blind spots' LOL. totally..

4) i was tested on route 5 again, the same small lane and hump ahead thing. really nervous and worried during the whole test luh. but anyway, e whole route was some how like that.

this is the part!!

okay, that is the part where i was caught in a dilemma earlier this morning! there were a few parked/stationary cars at the left of the lane, so had to signal right to show the oncoming vehicles the opp side that i'm intruding their lane. there were 3 cars in front of me (we are at the centre white line area) and so i waited behind them for a couple of seconds (prolly 10sec bah) i was debating in my heart, should i swerve right and juz go ahead of the 3 cars which wasn't moving for no reason or should i juz stay put? tough decision, cos i didn't wna make the same mistake as my 2nd test that i wasn't keeping to my lane which is 4 points ): so i decided to juz swerve right and squeezing thru the right lane while taking note that no vehicles were ahead. then i realised that 'Oh! the first car was actually parking his car lah...' no wonder so slow.. den coincidentally, there was another car which was coming out from the most left lane, so had to wait and stop. den another vehicle from opp direction came and the most left lane's car stopped and so i tried to squeeze b/w both cars looking real worried and frustrated that i actually did a stupid choice of going ahead of the 3 cars. i knew then that i will fail the test again :( so... i juz did my best and forgot to check blind spots whenever i wna turn left or right, LOL. and i saw the tester kept tapping his notebook (that's where he marks our mistakes!) and cos of the 2nd test, i was ignorant. i tot tester used to see map, as in to see which route to take.. but until the results out, den i realised it's the marking scheme in the notebook! kena scammed once, so this time was sure heard a lot of tapping. and tester actually kept his NB even b4 i entered CDC, so i tot sure overshot le.. :( haiz.. [i noe it's a long story, dun have to read, juz for my own reference... haha!] so i looked super sad and hoped that he will minus/strike off some mistakes when we're back in the office, but sadly he just turned on his NB and printed. and then, he came and say... i cant rmb leh, but something like 'You've passed!' den i was like, really? and i saw a 'Congrats..' on the paper and i nearly cried but nv cry cos i was worried abt the mistake i made! so i clarified with him about the whole chunk that i've typed and asked if did i do wrongly by turning out, n being an obstruction the opp vehicles, etc.. den he said smth like 'Oh! no no! you did well that part! if you had stayed on, i would have marked you. but u used ur initiative and turn out, so it was good! when i saw that, i was thinking 'What a good driver you are!' ' or smth lidat lah! haha! den at the back of my mind, i was like 'good driver?!! kidding me?!!' ha! so i called instructor and he told me to practice more since my driving isn't so good.. lol. noted..

ahh.. another week has gone, not exactly though. 2.5 more days, which is super stress.

anyway, just watched 'A Christmas Carol' with cousins juz now! storyline was bleah but 3D effects was good! couldnt catch the story until almost the end. haiz, am i a loser or smth. haha, anyway gotta go for net soon and gotta edit Christmas Party's ticket designs. ahh. still need to go to sch tmr for SPYOG thing and thinking of gg to flea market tmr den go edge. sunday!! got morning video, discipling, carolling, christmas mtg?, driving. Monday!! DRIVING! ahh! super scared again. haiz. den maybe sending laptop to service centre. fan or HDD got prob sia. den tues gg to Esther bday party. LOL. and wed got sch and was thinking of gg BBQ at chalet but CG is on wed instead! ahh, spoil all my plans and etc. haiz. just need to rant on and on. oh!
