♥ Mar

Once again, I'm reminded of this verse. Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

(And also coincidentally seeing a packet of food with the expiry date of 2018-8-28)

Just on Sunday evening, we received news that our pastor had gotten into a car accident in Brazil, and had passed away. It was shocking cos it's just too sudden. He has been a Father to many nations, literally because he planted so many churches around the world. We celebrated VFC40 milestone last Nov, we celebrated lives and churches that were planted over the last 40 years.

I rmb the days when i started serving in the video ministry, and constantly following UMA around, rendering our help whenever we can. Be it doing recording in TPY building or Tamp building, and always "following" pastor on the video camera. He knows the technical stuff, as he used to studied engineering. He's always jovial, yet serious at the same time. I'm always inspired by his faith in giving. His sermons about sacrificial offering, kairos offering, Missions Faith Pledge, paying our tithes, challenging us to put our faith in God, like how he walked the talk. I always find this difficult, engineering is a very logical & analytical course. But he demonstrated and lived out a life full of trust & faith.

I thank God for placing him & his family to this country, for their great faith and obedience. I'm really thankful for the legacy that he has left behind. I'm sure God must had been so pleased with him that's why he went home just like that. I pray that this DNA of the church will continue to stay in us & propel us to do His work. Give us the conviction & sense of urgency that no time should be wasted, for we do not know when the time is up.

What will you do, if you only have 30 days to live?

God shows & teaches me love at...
